Good Friday was the day that Jesus Christ died in our place. The Bible says that "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3). Good Friday is called "good" because it was on that day that we knew that when we breathe our last, we will not die, but instead will transition into eternal life with God. While our Good Friday worship is a somber service of quiet pondering and thoughtfulness, it is also a service of muted joy that Jesus has died for us.
This year, Good Friday is April 19th, and we will have our "Service of Darkness" at 7pm on that evening at Lisgar Middle School. We hope you can join us.
