Kevin Walker, our outreach & family minister, wants to involve every member of your family in meaningful service. He and his family are involved in their community in Churchill Meadows and involved in the mission of Cross of Life. Kevin, his wife Cindie, and their children Jordan, Callista, Celina, Japheth and Josiah make their home at 5677 Freshwater Drive. Fred Berger, our pastoral intern, is here at Cross of Life for the next year helping Joel and Kevin serve you. He and his wife, Steph, look forward to spending this year in Mississauga and are happy to have the opportunity to learn and grow with you. Whether you are a member or a visitor, I pray that our web site will lead you to see clearly that we are a church dedicated to giving real hope to the hopeless, real help to the helpless, and real peace and comfort to those who are restless. We rely on God's power to accomplish this and we believe that his power is the Word, the Bible. In that Word God tells us who He is, what He demands of us, and what He sees in us. In that same Word He says that He hates what He sees in us! That is why we feel guilty! That is why our conscience gives us trouble! That is what explains the "empty" feeling we might have.

BUT, in that same Word He tells us what He has graciously done to save us by sending us his Son, Jesus. That is where the JOY comes in! More Joy than Guilt, is what God gives us! This good news always outweighs the bad! At Cross of Life, we can show you how in the Bible God's love and mercy for you always outweigh the disappointment that you and I have given Him. We can show you the loving, forgiving words He has spoken to you! He wants you to have the assurance that there is more reason for joy in your life than worry and guilt! You have an eternal hope He has given you that always gives you a reason to be glad, even when things aren't going your way in life. In Jesus, God gives us real hope, help, joy, peace, and comfort. Because God has given us these blessings, our congregation is dedicated to sharing this good news with everyone else so that they too may enjoy these gifts of God.

I would also like to assure you that we are a friendly and warm group of people - you might even find us "catching." We are diverse, and among our small number, have people with all sorts of cultural backgrounds! It doesn't matter where you come from or what you look like, you will fit right in with us! I believe you will also find our worship to be meaningful and visitor-friendly. Just come as you are. We would just like to have you visit us. That is what is important. We are here to serve people, including you.
